Soul Shards are commonly used to Limit Break a unit and to Transmute a unit. They can be bought from shops or obtained through summoning.

Soul Shards from the Shop
A small quantity of Soul Shards may be available in shops, and can be bought with Zeni or Gems.

Soul Shards from Summoning
When summoning a unit which you already own, you will instead receive a number of Soul Shards according to its rarity.

★★★★★ unit gives 25 Shards

Convert Soul Shards
Soul Shards of units with maximum limit break can be converted into Soul Coins. Soul Coins are used to exchange for items.
